get fundraising

There are so many great ways you can fundraise for us, either by yourself or with your friends and colleagues. Whether you put your running shoes on, have a dress-down Friday at work, or host a bake sale, every penny you raise will make a difference to the lives of the people we support.

If you would like to speak to someone about fundraising, please email info@bournefamilyproject.org or call 0117 9478441. We’ve put together an A-Z of fundraising ideas if you’re a bit stuck.

Charlie, cut off 17 inches of her hair raising over £700 for us! She donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust to create a wig for a child.

Volunteer

We are always looking for different ways to enhance and expand our service with volunteers.

Are you a qualified counsellor or children’s therapist looking to join a team? Perhaps you are looking to gain some more experience in a new setting or give something back to the community.

Or maybe you have a different skill or expertise that could help our team. We’re always on the look out for volunteers with administrative skills, technology expertise or fundraising support.

In return for your time and commitment, we can give you an induction, thorough training and supervision support in a friendly and supportive environment. We value every single member of our team.

If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you. Please call us on 0117 9478441 for an informal chat or drop us an email.

 Students

Supporting the training and development of future therapists is an important part of the work we do. We have a long and successful track record of supporting therapy students on placement. Here is what some of them have said:

I have really enjoyed my placement at Bourne Family Project. The staff do amazing work with families and I am happy and proud to be part of the BFP team. The support they have given me as a student has been great and has supported my continued learning as a Trainee Play therapist. - Andrea

Working at Bourne Family Project as a student, I feel very supported and part of the team. The support and advice from the team is really valuable. - Beth

I have loved being able to complete my play therapy training at the Bourne. The family of therapists and staff here really value and actively encourage your contribution to the team. You feel you are part of something that is making a difference and I have learned a huge amount from all the experiences I've had here. It is a place to grow! - Megan

If you are an adults counsellor or year 2/diploma creative therapist (including play, art, music and dance/movement) seeking a placement who is currently studying on an accredited course please contact info@bournefamilyproject.org for a student placement pack.
